Cost
LillyDirect or a telehealth subscription: what each one actually costs
Buying straight from Lilly costs $299 to $699 a month depending on your dose, and that is the medication only. A telehealth provider charges you twice: a membership, and then the drug. LifeMD is the clearest published example, at $39 for the first month and $149 a month after that for the membership, with medication explicitly not included, then $199 for a Wegovy pen or $349 for a Zepbound vial on top. So the honest comparison is not one price against another. It is Lilly direct plus finding your own prescriber, against a membership plus a drug price that comes with one. The trap in both is the same: the $299 you will have seen advertised is the 2.5 mg starting dose, and Lilly states it is not approved as a maintenance dose.
