Wegovy and Ozempic through Costco: what it costs, and what it saves

Costco Pharmacy sells Wegovy and Ozempic at $349 a month to members paying cash, and the Wegovy pill from $149. Sesame, which runs the program and publishes the price, calls that 50% off. It is worth checking against Novo Nordisk directly: NovoCare sells the same pen for $349 a month, and $199 a month for your first two fills, and the same pill at $149. So the drug is not cheaper through Costco, and on the first two fills it is dearer. What Costco adds is a $65 membership and a care subscription that Sesame prices from $59 a month on an annual plan. What that subscription buys is a prescriber, labs and ongoing care, which NovoCare does not include and which you would otherwise arrange yourself. That is the actual trade, and it is a reasonable one. It is just not a discount on the medicine.

The Costco rows are Sesame鈥檚 figures, published on Sesame鈥檚 own site on 4 September 2026, and 馃敶 they are a claim by the partner that earns from the referral rather than by the retailer that takes the payment: costco.com refuses an automated read and publishes no GLP-1 price page we could find in a browser. The NovoCare rows are Novo Nordisk鈥檚 own, re-read on 3 September 2026. 馃敶 "50% off the traditional price" does not reconcile with anything Novo publishes: half of the $1,349.02 list is $674. Neither price includes the membership or the care fee. Prices move: the NovoCare step to $349 carries a 31 December 2026 date on Novo鈥檚 page.
