Medicaid coverage
Oklahoma: what Medicaid covers
Oklahoma puts the exclusion in its administrative code rather than in a formulary: drugs used primarily for the treatment of obesity are not covered. SoonerCare’s 2026 prior authorization category for endocrine and diabetic agents matches that. Its GIP and GLP-1 table names only the diabetes products, Trulicity, Victoza, Ozempic, Rybelsus and Mounjaro, and the class criteria open by requiring an FDA approved diagnosis of type 2 diabetes.
| Drug | Position | Criteria |

| Tirzepatide | Not covered | Drugs used primarily for the treatment of obesity are not covered. Zepbound is not in the prior authorization category |
