New Mexico: what Medicaid covers

New Mexico has no statewide preferred drug list yet (HCA says it is still procuring a PDL vendor for 2026). The Health Care Authority's Weight Reduction Medications page affirmatively lists Saxenda, Wegovy and Zepbound under "Not Covered by New Mexico Medicaid" for the fee-for-service program, while some older weight-loss drugs (phentermine, orlistat and others) stay covered with prior authorization.
