Michigan: what Medicaid covers

Michigan did not end coverage, it narrowed it. Public Act 22 of 2025 required the state to approve a GLP-1 for obesity only where the patient is morbidly obese, has failed everything else, and the drug is being used to avert the cost of bariatric surgery. Authorizations granted before January 1, 2026 were honored for their remaining six months.
