Hims & Hers vs Ro

Hims & Hers and Ro both sell FDA-approved branded GLP-1s for cash, and both bill in two parts: a membership, then the medication on top. They charge the same $199 a month for the Wegovy pen. They do not charge anything like the same for tirzepatide. Ro lists the Zepbound KwikPen at $299 a month and Hims & Hers lists branded Zepbound or Mounjaro at $1,899 a month, which is 6.4 times as much for the same category of medicine. The memberships differ too: Hims & Hers is $39 for the first month and then $149 a month, while Ro is $39 and then $74 to $149 depending on the plan. On the five checks this site runs, Hims & Hers names the pharmacy that dispenses and Ro does not, and Hims & Hers carries two FDA warning letters and an SEC investigation that Ro does not. Both are LegitScript certified and both show their prices before an intake form. Prices were read from each company on 26 August 2026.

Ro lists the Zepbound KwikPen at $299 against a $1,087 list price. Hims & Hers lists branded Zepbound or Mounjaro at $1,899. Both figures are medication only, on top of a membership, and both were read from the companies own pricing pages.
Semaglutide, per month
No difference

Both list the Wegovy pen at $199 a month, medication only. Ro states its cash prices match LillyDirect, NovoCare and TrumpRx.
What the membership costs after the first month
Ro

Both open at $39. After that Hims & Hers is $149 a month and Ro is $74 to $149 depending on the plan. Neither $39 includes any medication, and Hims & Hers sells no medication at all without the membership.
Which pharmacy dispenses
Hims & Hers

Hims & Hers states in its annual report that most prescriptions are filled by pharmacies it owns outright, plus contracted partners. Ro does not name a dispensing pharmacy on the pages read.
Compounding
No difference

Hims & Hers compounds as well as selling branded, and states in its 10-K that it uses 503A pharmacies only. Ro sells branded medicine and does not compound. Neither fact is a safety finding on its own; it decides what is legally in the vial.
Open regulatory matters
Ro

Hims & Hers discloses two FDA warning letters from September 2025 about statements on its websites regarding compounded semaglutide, an SEC investigation into its public statements on the same subject, and patent litigation brought by Novo Nordisk. These are the companys own disclosures in its filings. We found no equivalent disclosures for Ro.

Both are certified. Ro serves its seal, number 3722005, from its own pages, and it returns 200 from LegitScript while an invented number returns 403.

No difference

Both show full prices before asking for any health information. That is not the norm in this category and it is why both could be priced at all.
